Latitude Lounge Bartender at the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter - Part Time

pMarriott San Diego Gaslamp is seeking an experienced bartender to join their team in the Latitude Lounge!  Latitude is open daily and is located on the ground floor of the hotel to the left of the lobby.  Latitude Lounge is a relaxed go-to spot for signature cocktails and classic bar foods. /p pThis position is part time and pays $17.75 per hour./p pCandidates must have flexibility to work 2 or more shifts starting as early as 2pm and shifts that end as late as 11pm and must be available to work weekends and holidays./p pstrongBenefits/strong/p ul liSick pay/li liHoliday pay (after 90 days if working on the holiday matched up to 8 hours)/li liRoom Discounts with Marriott Brand Hotels (31 different brand globally)/li liAdditional Hotel Room Discounts/li liFree Parking at the hotel while working ($220 value)/li liMeal Allowance per bona fide meal break ($10 per bona fide meal break up to 1 per shift)/li li401K Retirement Benefits with 4% match and immediate 100% vesting (Transamerica)/li liShoes for Crews/li /ul pstrong/strongstrong JOB DUTIES:/strong/p ul liGreet the guests, take  beverage orders/li liFollow all brand standards set forth by Marriott Brand Standards/li liFollow standard operating procedures for bartenders/li liAnswer restaurant calls as needed/li liUpsell beverage/li liMix and serve wine, beer and cocktails/li liEnsure bar areas are fully stocked/li liMaintain a clean working area by sweeping, dusting, putting away glassware, and other general cleaning tasks/li liResponsible for receiving all payments and proper cash, CC and Room Charge procedures/li liPerform necessary opening/closing and side work duties/li liPrepare food items for guests such as dishing up oatmeal, soup, making toast, dinner salads, bread, etc./li liEnsure all equipment is in operational order and all supplies are up to par.  Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered/li liBe familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction/li liBe a Team Player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff/li liAttend department and inter-departmental meetings/li liNotify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities/li liBe knowledgeable in all hotel emergency procedures/li liEnsure areas are free of safety hazards and performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner/li liEnsure total guest satisfaction/li liFollow supervisor’s instructions and perform other duties as directed or assigned/li liBe knowledgeable regarding hotel activities including groups in house and VIP guests/li /ul pstrongJOB REQUIREMENTS:/strong/p ul liAt least 1 year customer service experience preferred/li liPrior experience as a bartender required/li liMicros systems knowledge a plus/li /ul pstrongThe San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  All qualified applicants and employees will receive consideration for employment without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.
