This is made up by third party concessionary contracts and all revenue generating opportunities. You will be responsible for managing and training of Zoo team members under your direct supervision. Here, you will make an impact by:/pul type="disc"liSupervise and coordinate the efficient and cost-effective operations of zoo carousel, 4-D theater, animal encounters, and third-party revenue locations/vendors./liliSupervise and coordinate behind the scenes experiences, tours, animal encounters, and other zoo experiences from planning to execution/liliEstablish, direct, and enforce operating policies and procedures./liliEnsure all operations are conducted in accordance with all state and local safety and health regulations./liliPerform and direct monthly quality assurance audits./liliFollow yearly revenue and expense budgets./liliEnsure enough revenue employees are available to fill required positions./liliMonitor inventories for coin ops and related supplies as necessary./liliTake lead on all training and audits as needed/liliEnsure outlets are maintained in a neat, clean, and healthy manner./liliGenerate required reports as needed. nbsp;nbsp;/liliCoordinate with staff to ensure Zoo activities requiring Revenue assistance are implemented in a timely manner./liliMaintain operational and compliance controls (i.e., reduce ticket revenue loss from theft or inefficient operation, reduce paperwork errors, etc.)./liliMaintain constant contact and positive relationships with all vendors to assure quality control of products and supplies./liliConstantly exhibit a guest service attitude, a smile, and an obvious interest in guest comfort and service./liliCommunicate with the public in a courteous and tactful manner and assist guests with questions and directions to various areas of the Zoo. nbsp;Address the guest - do not wait to be asked./liliEstablish and maintain positive, cooperative, and effective working relations with fellow employees./liliConsistently exhibit an attitude of service inside and outside of the zoo, showing hospitality to all./liliBe fully committed to the mission of San Antonio Zoo to create awareness that inspires action to care for the wild world we steward and the animals we protect./li/ulpstrongnbsp;Other Responsibilities/strong/pulliPerforms other work-related duties as required and assigned./liliRemove trash and debris from public areas./li/ulpstrongYour Skills and Expertise/strongbrTo set you up for success in this role from day one, the San Antonio Zoo recommends the following skills/qualifications:nbsp;/pulliAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing./liliYou are driven, detail-oriented, positive and a people person./liliPossess strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple operations./liliAbility to use and to train employees in the proper use of various types of electronic cash registers./liliKnowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word./liliKnowledge of and ability to implement cash control techniques./liliAbility to deal with employee and employee/Guest relations./liliAbility to prepare and maintain records and compile reports./liliAbility to work weekends, holidays and occasional after-hour assignments.
