Camp Medic - Part-time

pYMCA Camp Twin Lakes is searching for skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated medical professionals to join our Summer Camp team as strongCamp Medics/strong. Camp Medics will manage the health and safety needs of the camp by tending to the medical needs of campers and staff. and maintaining records of all health care provided. Medics will distribute all camper and staff medications and attend to injuries or sicknesses that may occur. This is a seasonal position that runs fromstrong late May to mid-August/strong with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per weekstrong. /strongSome evening and weekend shifts will be required throughout the summer./p pstrongEssential Functions/strong/p ulliOversee the health and wellness of campers and staff./liliProvide medical attention to campers and staff with minor injuries./liliDistribute and record camper medications in accordance with Medication Dispensing Form./liliMaintain treatment records and complete injury reports./liliCommunicating with parents in a professional, caring manner./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ul pstrongSkills/Requirements/strong/p ulliMust be at least 21 years old./lili Current EMT or equivalent./liliMust be able to complete YMCA required training as scheduled by management./liliGood bedside manner, friendly and personable./liliPrior experience with children and/or young adults is preferred (does not have to be in a medical capacity)./liliMust maintain updated certifications of the job (CPR and First Aid/AED)./liliAbility to pass a drug test/background check./li/ul pstrongPay Rate:/strongnbsp;$17.00 to $20.00/hour/p pstrongAbout Us:nbsp;/strongWe are a not-for-profit services Association focusing on mission driven initiatives, with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities throughout 7 Texas Counties.
