Shift differential where applicable./ppbuSchedule/u/bbu:/u/b  Various Shifts/ppbuTechnician Duties and Responsibilities/u/b/pulliMust be able to trouble shoot, perform inspections and make repairs on chassis, gas/diesel engines, drive trains, rear axles, steering mechanisms, hydraulic/air braking systems, suspensions, cooling systems, wheels, tires, and repair associated construction equipment./liliPerform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and preventive maintenance as assigned./liliSafely handle standard garage materials, chemicals, and maintain a clean amp; safe work area./liliAccurately document work using Chevin maintenance program/liliAble to work independently either in the assigned shop or at other locations within the limits of the classification./li/ulp/pp buQUALIFICATIONS:/u/b/pulliCDL Driver’s and Inspectors license preferred.  Must be able to obtain within six months./lili High School diploma or equivalent/liliCompletion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus/liliMust be able obtain valid health certificate./liliExperience with electronic diagnostic software and instrument systems preferred./liliMust possess a working knowledge of and the ability to use a tablet or a desktop computer./liliMust have the ability to diagnose problems in automotive/truck equipment and to make the necessary repairs to return the equipment to safe and operable condition./liliMust be familiar with the use and safe operation of torches and gas welding equipment./li/ulp/ppbCompetencies:/b/ppBuild trusting relationships/ppManage and develop people/ppFoster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration/ppLead change/ppCommunicate strategic vision/ppCreate an engaged workforce/ppFocus on the customer/ppTake ownership amp; accountability/ppBuild trusting relationships/pp/ppbWorker Type:/b/pRegularp/ppbNumber of Openings:/b/p1p/ppbEmergency Response:/b/ppResponding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role.
