pspanThe /spanHead Electricianspan shall be employed in all shows and events that require the use the Electrics Department at the Paramount theatre in Seattle. Events include Broadway shows, corporate events, dance, comedy, and musical acts among others. /spanspanThe responsibilities include working with the Head Carpenter to ensure the safe running and supervising of local crews, assigning crews, and working with other stage departments to complete the needs of the show.  Must be able and willing to work with all departments in the theater for non-departmental shows (ie Non-Yellow Card shows) as directed by the /spanspanTechnical Director.  This position pays $46.99/hour plus benefits according to STG's contract with IATSE Local 15./span/p pstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES /stronginclude the following. (Other duties may be assigned)/p pspanEssential Job Functions:  /span/p ul lispan /spanHead Electricianspan shall assist with the offloading of all stage equipment from a Semi or other transport consisting of trusses, lights, road boxes, video panels, cable boxes, chain motors, set pieces, rolling carts and all other audio and visual equipment required for the specifics of that show. Most equipment comes in boxes with rolling wheels some will need to be carried and passed off. the /spanHead Electricianspan shall be required to push/pull/Carry such boxes and items up to 200ft from the truck to the stage or staging area. Every effort is taken roll equipment when possible./span/li /ul ul lispan /spanHead Electricianspan will supervise and assist the Electrics crew in setting up any traditional Electrical/Lighting elements for the show. This includes but not limited to Lighting Consoles, Lighting Instruments, Follow Spots, power distribution, cabling, snakes, Ground and set mounted lighting instruments, Tieing in to high voltage disconnects./span/li /ul ul lispan /spanHead Electricianspan may be assigned to help other departments complete the tasks outside the Electrics Department./span/li /ul ul lispan /spanHead Electricianspan may be required to run cues in a multitude of situations including working in low light, strobe, fog, and other limited visibility situations. Standing is mostly dynamic and intermittent with walking.
