Able to communicate quality issues, complete required documentation, e.i. profile and daily material reports. Report machine malfunctions and ensure good quality sheet. Performs work under Shift Supervisor with final approval by the Extrusion Manager/ Assistant Production Manager. Be committed to SQF, GMP and Food Safety./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"strongDuties/Responsibilities:/strong/pulliAbility to learn and operator all extruders within defined specification without assistance./liliRecognize heating/cooling problems on all machines and report any issues immediately./liliStart up and shut down all extruders unassisted./liliAssist in "stringing up" all extruders unassisted./liliComplete job/color changes with minimal scrap./liliPerform adjustments to die./liliMonitor feed and mixing systems for proper operation./liliCorrect formulas and rates for each product type./liliMatch and distinguish colors from samples./liliProduce good tight rolls./liliProduce each roll to correct width and gauge./liliAble to use a fire extinguisher./liliClimb heights up to 60 feet to report silo readings and material held in each silo./liliGet assistance to resolve any issues to get machine back in operation./liliWell rounded knowledge of quality of all products./liliHousekeeping, must keep all areas free of debris./liliMust adhere to and be in compliance with all SQF/GMP and Food Safety standards./liliReport any food safety issues to Supervisor/Manager./liliClean filters and vacuum pumps and dryers./liliGrind all scrap product./liliMonitor Repel Line and keep operational throughout shift./liliUnderstand silo readings, verify, and document all silo readings./liliRecord correct measurements, weight, date, and shift on each roll produced and then move to extrusion roll staging area properly and safely./liliComplete required paperwork accurately, neatly and per Plant Sanitation specifications./liliMaintain raw material hoppers/containers to ensure continuous production run during the shift from Extrusion Mezzanine and refill as needed./li/ululli style="list-style-type: none;" /li/ul/divdiv data-bind="html: Job.Requirements"p style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"strongRequirements:/strong/pp style="margin: 0px;"strongPHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS:/strong/polliStationary standing: 100% of the shift./liliWalking: 60% of the shift./liliTouching/Handling Product: 100% of the shift./liliSitting: 5% of the shift./liliUsing Controls/Tools: 10% of the shift./liliReaching-(Hand Arm): 75% of the shift./liliShifting/Twisting/Rotating core: 100% of the shift./liliClimb or Balances: 5% of the shift./liliStoop, Kneel, Crouch or Crawl: 10% of the shift./liliTalk or hear: 100% of the shift./liliSmell: 5% of the shift./liliAbility to lift 25 pounds/Max./liliAbility to move foam rolls: 450 pounds./liliEmployees may wear corrective lenses (with protective safety over glasses) PPE or use our Safety Prescription Program (Ask your HR Representative)./liliMust have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus./li/olp style="margin: 0px;"strongSAFETY:/strong/pp style="margin: 0px;"The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and policy procedures.
