They are responsible for aiding in the planning, development and implementation of all the before and after school activities under the guidelines of the YMCA Power Scholars Pre-School curriculum. The Group Leader assists in oversight of all program activities, communicating with families and ensuring all equipment and supplies are available./spanbrbrspan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"strongSome of the exciting things you will do as a Group Leader include but are not limited to:/strong/spanbr ul lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Assist the program in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA, the School Age Curriculum (i.e. Creative curriculum)/span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"With the help of the Sr. Group Leader effectively carries out appropriate lesson plans /span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Aid in establishing structure and routines for children setting boundaries and behavior guidelines/span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including understanding and being able to implement emergency procedures as necessary/span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Attends parent/child events as required/span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Effectively communicates with parents throughout the program year/span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Maintains an attractive and clean classroom at all times/span/li /ul span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"strongSchedule:  /strongspan style="color:#f800ff;"Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm/spanstrongbrbrQualifications:/strong/spanbr ul lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Must be at least 18 years of age./span/li lispan style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"Must have high school diploma or GED. Obtain CDA within 18 months of employment.
