Some duties include assisting with rooming patients, managing patient flow, administer medication, communication with patients.br /br /bPrinciple Responsibilities/b/pulliRooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient medical information/data.ulliConfirms information with patient when necessary and document per practice./liliCollects patient information via interview, questionnaires, vital signs and accurately document in EMR according to rooming standards./liliAssists with the collection, labeling, and processing of specimens./liliFacilitates obtaining lab/imaging results and notify provider of abnormalities./liliWorks with the electronic medical records in basket, responding to messages as delegated for provider./liliMay need to help cover front desk and provide backup to patient registration/scheduling./li/ul/liliPerforms patient care tasks as delegated by Provider or RNulliPerforms injections./liliAssists with procedures./liliProvides patient information regarding test/procedure preparation, treatment plan, preventative or other health information./liliCoordinates results of tests, procedures etc. with provider or RN./liliPrepares refill information for provider to review and prescribe./liliAssists with patient transportation./li/ul/liliContributes to an environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and employees.ulliReports environmental risks or equipment malfunctions to Supervisor./liliUses equipment following policies, procedures and manufacturer directions or standards./liliFollows all policies, procedures, standard work, and proper techniques when providing patient care./liliCleans, stocks, maintains inventory for exam, medication and supply rooms./liliReports any acute problems and changes in patient#39;s condition./liliApplies High reliable safety principles to all interactions./li/ul/liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpbr /bRequired Qualifications/b/pulliMust be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description/liliNon-Certified Applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship/li/ulpbr /bPreferred Qualifications /b/pulliPrevious Medical Assistant experience/liliKnowledge of medical terminology/li/ulpbr /bLicenses/Certifications/b/pulliMust meet at least ONE of the requirements below:br /◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Associationbr /◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Crossbr /◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)/liliCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred/li/ulpbr /bPhysical Demands/b/pulliMedium Work*:/liliLifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently/li/ulp/pp style="text-align:left"bPay Range/b/ph3/h3p style="text-align:inherit"/pPay Range: $23.48 to $29.96 per hourh3/h3p style="text-align:inherit"/pThe pay described reflects the base hourly pay range.
