pbJob Purpose/bb:/b/ppAssists the teacher with direction for the program and implements curriculum in the classroom. Provides a quality experience to children and parents/caregivers that focuses on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring./ppbFunctions and Duties/bb:/b/pp1.#160;bProgram and Services Management/b/pp#183; Assists the teacher develop and deliver an enriching early learning program that consists of a morning circle, learning centers, desk work and a closing circle./pp#183; Vary activities used in the learning centers/desk work to provide different developmental opportunities./pp#183; Model effective behaviors in dealing with children that parents can use in their own interactions with their child, implement a behavior plan./pp#183; Inform parents on child development through formal and informal discussions and progress reports./pp#183; Prepare all materials needed prior to each preschool session./pp#183; Interact with parents/caregivers and children, modeling appropriate behavior./pp#183; Follows all Child Abuse reporting procedures./pp2.#160;bAdministrative Responsibilities/b/pp#183; Maintains attendance for program participants, communicating with Branch Director for any issues that may arise./pp#183; Submits weekly sign-in rosters to the Branch Director./pp#183; Submits on-time monthly lesson plan to Branch Director for review in accordance with lesson plan procedures./pp#183; Timesheets should be filled out accurately on a daily basis and submitted by the end of each pay period./pp3.#160;bFinancial Responsibilities/b/pp#183; N/A/pp4.#160;bAttendance/Administration/b/pp#183; Arrives on time daily as scheduled./pp#183; Attends all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled./pp#183; Demonstrate an understanding and proper use of the chain of command when addressing situations and concerns./pp#183; Inform Programs and Administrative Assistant and Branch Director of child#8217;s excessive absences./pp5.#160;bVolunteers/b/pp#183; N/A/pp6.#160;bFacility and Equipment Management/b/pp#183; Maintain classroom in an orderly manner./pp#183; Organize, sanitizes and stores toys/materials daily to ensure order./pp#183; Ensures toys and equipment are kept in good working order, notifying Branch Director when toys/equipment need to be replaced due to unsafe conditions./pp#183; Request needed supplies in a timely manner to the Branch Director./pp7.#160;bOther duties as assigned by the Branch Director and/or Executive Director/b/ppbWorking Conditions:/b/pp#183; Classroom Setting./pp#183; Must be able to stand and sit throughout the day./pp#183; Strong understanding of the issues military families undergo./pp#183; Experience working with preschool age children./ppJob Type: Part-time/ppSalary: $18 to $18.50 per hour/ppWork Location: Marine Corp Base Hawaii/p
