The Cardiovascular Physician’s Assistant performs tasks and services under the direct control and supervision of a state-approved supervising physician in accordance with the mission and philosophy, standards policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. /pp/ppEDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:/ppuMinimum/u:/ppOne year of experience in acute patient care with an emphasis on cardiac care/ppSuccessful completion of a clinical rotation in cardiac services./pp/ppuDesired/u:/ppOne year clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care facility/pp/ppLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:/ppuMinimum/u:/ppCurrent California Physician Assistant License/ppCertification by NCCPA, if not graduate from accredited ARC PA program/ppCurrent CPR certification/ppACLS within 6 months of hire/ppCredentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance offices/ppDrug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application/pp/ppuDesired/u:/ppCertification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)/pp/ppSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:/ppMust demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to interact professionally and effectively communicate with physicians, staff, patients and the public. Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.  Must have the ability to work in a demanding environment while remaining calm, efficient and focused. Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
