In this role you will get to work on an exciting Rail and Transit project in Boston (2 Frontage Rd. Boston, MA 02118). With minimal supervision, independently performs all aspects of field engineering assignments including implementation of plans, schedules, contracts, procedures, and construction methods and systems for an assigned project, or a designated area of a large project. Incumbent is also responsible for reviewing the performance of contactor and subcontractors to assure contract compliance, the application of accepted construction technology and standards, and the acceptable standardization of materials and supplies./b/pp/ppbWhat You#39;ll Be Doing:/b/pulliPerform daily field inspections to confirm work meets approved plans and specifications./liliPrepare daily field reports summarizing progress, inspections, and issues./liliMonitor contractor and subcontractor activities for compliance with safety and quality standards./liliCommunicate and help resolve site-related construction challenges promptly./liliReview the weekly schedule look aheads and be able to realistically estimate the activity durations./liliSupport quality control by documenting non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions are implemented./liliCollaborate and coordinate with other field inspectors and managers./liliBe willing to work on day/night shifts and weekends as required by the construction schedule./liliAssist with tracking and updating logs for RFIs, NCRs, and other construction documentation./liliBe able to perform administrative duties under the direction of Construction Manager./liliContribute to monthly progress reports and schedule look-aheads under guidance from the Construction Manager./liliAssisting the Construction Manager as required./liliThe position require support during day/night shifts and frequent weekend shifts during the CM oversight of the project construction schedule./li/ulp/ppbWhat Required Skills You#39;ll Bring:/b/pulliBachelor#39;s Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience/lili5-7#43; years of experience in field construction is required./liliExperience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred./liliRequires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices./liliAlso requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project./liliSoftware skills should include: MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe Acrobat./liliGood Oral and Written communication abilities, will be writing and editing Meeting Minutes./li/ulpbr /bWhat Desired Skills You#39;ll Bring:/b/pulliAmtrak experience is a plus/li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"ubSecurity Clearance Requirement:/b/u/pNonep style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pFor more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
