Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally lift boxes and/or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. The employee must demonstrate lifting a 25-pound box from the floor./li

liAssist in the completion of and ensuring the staff schedule is correct./li
liAssists department manager in the monitoring of Quality Indicator Reports. Assists with employee and patient complaints in the absence of the Department Manager./li
liAssists with training of new hires./li
liAssists, when necessary, with other pre-registration workload./li
liAttends required meetings./li
liCompletes preadmissions as far in advance as possible (department standard is not less than three days prior to services; exception is last minute add-ons). Facilitates proactive leadership./li
liMaintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies./li
liMaintains good communication with physician offices to obtain information necessary to complete the preadmissions./li
liProvides Admitting-PBX staff relief during breaks, lunch, vacation and sick-disability leave./li
liProvides coverage and-or assistance when necessary to maintain quality standards of the department./li
liProvides Outpatient Surgery Center or Outpatient Registration with the account paperwork prior to the day of service./li
liReviews pre-admitted accounts post day of service to determine if patient was no show or procedure was canceled. Accounts still in a pre-admit status should be canceled, rescheduled, or converted to outpatient so billing may take place./li
liVerifies patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to admission; notifies patient of any financial responsibilities and arranges for payment./li
liWorks closely with centralized and departmental scheduling to ensure timely receipt of all schedules./li
liWillingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned./li
