Often responsible for opening and closing of facility before and after rental and set up and take down of tables, chairs, and/or equipment. Supervise rental groups. Ensure safety of patrons during operation of facility. This position is required to adhere to all Waukegan Park District (District) policies and procedures./p pnbsp;/p pstrongEssential Functions/strong/p ul liDemonstrates good customer service in communicating with rental groups/patrons./li liAnswers customer inquiries or directs to appropriate staff as necessary./li liReceives payment for admission or parking fees./li liAssists with and follows parking procedures as outlined by supervisor./li liOpens cash station, prepares for the business day, oversees, balances, and prepares daily reports, counts money, and secures station at the end of the business day./li liEnforces facility use rules and guidelines and District policies, procedures, rules, and guidelines./li liAssists with the planning and implementation of programs and special events./li liMaintains proper inventory of all supplies and materials./li liReviews facility schedule daily and sets up and takes down as needed, cleans, and maintains work area, appropriate equipment, and supplies for activities./li liCleans up bodily fluids as needed after any accident./li liOpen to instructions fr om event leaders or renters./li liConducts walk through inspections to ensure site safety and documents deficiencies as required./li liAssists in the preparation and maintenance of reports and records regarding participants, programs, and services./li liDrives District vehicles to transport equipment to sites./li liWears assigned uniforms at all times while on duty./li liPerforms routine, preventative, and corrective custodial maintenance of the assigned facility./li liPerforms routine facility maintenance functions, including, but not limited to, general clean up, trash removal, and window cleaning./li liAssists with equipment maintenance./li liContacts emergency personnel as needed./li liAttends department and District meetings and training sessions./li liPerform duties in compliance with established District policies and procedures./li liParticipate in District safety and training program to ensure that work performed and services provided are done safely./li liAssists staff in completion of work orders./li liMaintains reports relating to daily admissions and usage./li liAssists with other recreation programs and special events as needed./li liAssists staff and volunteers in the performance of their duties./li liPerforms other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor to support the Recreation Department or the District./li /ul
