Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Make written amp; oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Complete amp; file required recordkeeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer and/or discharge./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Receive amp; transcribe telephone orders from physicians amp; record on the Physician’s Order Form./spannbsp;nbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Chart nurse’s notes in an informative amp; descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Fill out and complete accident/incident reports amp; submit to Director as required./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Perform routine charting duties as required amp; in accordance with established charting amp; documentation policies amp; procedures./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Prepare amp; administer medications as ordered by the physician./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Develop amp; maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Receive/give the nursing report upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Make rounds with physicians as necessary./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Administer professional services such as:/spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"catheterization, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, taking blood, giving massages and range of motion exercises, care for the dead/dying, etc., as required./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies./span/p/lilipspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of such information./spannbsp; span style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Ensure that all nursing care is provided in privacy and that nursing service personnel knock before entering the resident’s room./spannbsp;/p/li/ulp·span style="font-family: quot;Times New Romanquot;;"nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; /spanspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"Performs other duties as assigned./span/ppspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"nbsp;/span/ppspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"strongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/spanstrongnbsp; /strongspan style="font-family: Cambria, serif;"emTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
