The pay for this position ranges from $22.34 - $29.67 per hour and will be based on factors such as experience, education, and location of the job site, plus $5.09 per hour towards health and welfare dollars. The health and welfare dollars may be reduced if participating in employer sponsored benefit plans. The McNary Dam work period is March 27 through October 10 and includes fish sampling and temperature monitoring. This includes about 8 hours of online training that must be completed before the first on-site shift at a dam./li liKnowledge of Snake and Columbia rivers fish species./li liGenerate an accurate weekly report that is distributed to state and federal agencies./li liKnowledge of HOBO temperature monitoring and weather station equipment./li liAbility to download HOBO and weather station data, accurately maintain spreadsheets of this data and disseminate this data in daily, weekly and annual reports./li liMust be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, walking up to 5 miles per day, and working outdoors in various weather conditions and around spiders/insects./li liMust have reliable transportation and be able to commute to remote locations./li liMust be available to work regularly scheduled shifts for the duration of the season (back-up staffing is limited)./li liMust be willing to work early morning, be onsite by 0630 and work until the late morning or early afternoon)./li liHousing and mileage to the project site is not provided./li liMay be required to work holidays and/or weekends.
