divh3Position Description/h3divUnder general supervision performs skilled mechanical or analytical duties on various projects. May supervise subordinate employees./divh3Travel Required/h3divUp to 25% /divh3Major/Essential Functions/h3divulliMow, edge and trim turf areas, collect debris daily, weed planting beds, water trees, shrubs, flowers and turf areas, spread sand, remove snow and ice from walkways./liliAssist in installation and maintenance of signs, barricades, fences and irrigation systems, including digging lines, replacing heads and valves./liliPlants trees, shrubs, ground cover, using proper horticultural techniques. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers./liliEnforce parking rules and regulations on campus by issuing citations, immobilizing vehicles, overseeing vehicle impounds. Work special events./liliControl parking lot entrances. Set up cones, barricades, and other parking control devices to events. Collect and properly store such equipment post-event./liliPerform lot utilization and space inventory counts as required. Periodic maintenance of parking facilities including, cleaning, painting, etc./liliMust know and perform basic equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for radios, computers, printers, and all landscaping equipment./liliThis is an essential personnel position.
