divh3Job Summary/h3divdivpThe Security Guard / Public Safety Ambassadors protect and guard University property (both clinical and nonclinical); maintain order among the public and the UCSF community; monitor and control entry to restricted areas; inspect areas to prevent fires, accidents, and other hazards; direct visitors and answer questions concerning building and/or exhibit layouts.  The job will involve the ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods; carry and lift 21-30 pounds and run short distances.  Note: This is a part-time (40%), limited position where you will be employed for a 12-month duration. You will be issued a work schedule weekly, but will also be asked to work "on-call",  if/when available. In addition, when hired will need to be available to work full-time for a two-week duration, to include working various shifts and weekends.
