Provides exceptional service to all patients and customers. /li/ululliThis position works under the supervision of the Director and under the direction of an RN/LPN or Provider and is employed by Heartland Long Term Acute Care Hospital./li/uldiv /div /fieldset fieldset id="mosaic_duties" legendDuties/legend div ul id="mosaic_duties_list" liCompletes daily Activities of Daily Living to meet patient’s needs i.e. personal hygiene, dressing patients, linen change./li liTakes and records vital signs including pulse oximetry./li liTransports patients as appropriate./li liCollects and transports urine, stool and sputum samples for testing when assigned; completes Point of Care testing./liliLifts, turns, repositions and ambulates patients, alone or with assistance./li/ul /div /fieldset fieldset id="mosaic_qualifications" legendQualifications/legend div ul li id="mosaic_education"All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. PCA education requirements: a. an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) training program in the last three years, or b. a fundamentals of nursing course, or c. a certified nursing assistant program with obtainment of certification (C.N.A.), or d. a graduate of a professional or practical nursing program who did not pass the state licensure examination in the past three years or e. A graduate of a professional or practical nursing program outside the United States and awaiting licensure in this country/li li id="mosaic_certification"BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire./li li id="mosaic_experience"In lieu of a. through e. listed above in the Education section, documented experience working for one year as a nurse assistant in an inpatient setting in the past three years will qualify for this position. In Home Health, 6 months of Hospital/Nursing Home experience is required./li /ul /div /fieldset /div
