Middle School Science Co-Teacher (6798)

Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"spanUniversity Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamic face-to-face  secondary co-instructors with a passion for supporting students in grades 6-8. In this role, you’ll work in schools to directly help students overcome learning challenges in reading/literacy and math and History./spanbr /spanUniversity Instructors partners with schools to provide students with purposeful learning experiences led by inspirational educators. If you are committed to having a meaningful impact through instructing students in both one on one and small group settings to enhance student achievement, please apply and a member of our recruiting team will reach out to you with more details/span/p Responsibilities: ulliHave familiarity with a variety of learning platforms and course content, structure, and style within multiple subject areas  (math and science)./liliDaily Lesson planning and setting instructional goals for students./liliDaily and weekly planning with grade level team at assigned school./liliPLC meetings and all staff Professional Development./liliGrading and assignment of student work under direct supervision./liliBridge communications between students and teachers regarding specific course content./liliCommunicate with UI program management on specific questions regarding relevant course content./liliReview of pacing guide with planning group and supervisor to ensure alignment./liliIndividual student instruction will only happen during core instruction times/schedules./liliAll school-based protocols and polices around safety, employee handbook and client expectations will be signed off on by our candidates to be understood after review and will be the responsibility of school leadership to ensure./liliInstructors will not be responsible for additional tasks including bus duties, lunch duties or any assigned tasks outside of instruction as stated in contract unless it is agreed that these are required by school leadership as instructional needs./li/ul Qualifications: p style="margin: 0px;"We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:/pulliExperience providing classroom instruction in the content and grade level assigned./liliMaintain an understanding of instructional pedagogies and methodologies./liliStrong oral and written communication skills./liliSound attention to detail./liliStrong ability to work both independently with little supervision and collaboratively as part of a team./li/ulp style="margin: 0px;"As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed.
