pstrongSummary/strong: We are seeking a bright and energetic individual to become an integral part of our team and assist our producers with business development activities. Our 10 week Summer Intern Program is designed to provide students a challenging, meaningful and supportive experience. The Summer Intern orientation offers a thorough overview of the company and the opportunity to learn from several senior leaders. The Summer Intern Program also includes challenges, mentoring, philanthropic and networking opportunities./p
pOver eight-to-ten weeks, beginning May 28, 2026, and ending on August 7, 2026, the Summer Internship program is a paid multidisciplinary program designed to complement your classroom training and career goals. The program is designed to introduce qualified and talented students to the many facets of a growing insurance brokerage and the industry./p
pInterns will get opportunities to participate in a wide range of (in-person or virtual) networking and social opportunities across the NFP community. Throughout the program interns will work towards a final project, drawing on their experiences across the three product segments, culminating in a presentation to NFP Leadership./p
pThis is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility a few days a week./p

pstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities: /strong/p
ul
liLearn what services NFP’s Retirement and Wealth divisions provide and what problems we solve for clients/li
liInitiate, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through inbound and outbound marketing activities/li
liThrough research, identify prospects and build prospecting lists/li
liManage and organize event and project deliverables/li
liCoordinate introductory meetings and assist with discovery appointments/li
liMeet key metrics including making a certain number of phone calls per week and per month/li
liAnswer and refer phone and email inquiries/li
liMay assist team in scheduling meetings/li
liAttend seminars and classes related to the department/li
liParticipate in training regarding carrier products and systems/li
liPerform other duties as assigned/li
liAttend marketing and sales meetings with lead producers/li
liAssist business executives with registering for NFP-sponsored conferences, events, and webinars/li

pstrongKnowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: /strong/p

liExcellent written and verbal communication skills/li
liAbility to apply problem-solving skills to complete tasks/li
liStrong working knowledge of Microsoft office products and/or other computer software systems/li
liAbility to work both independently and in a team environment with a positive attitude, proactive mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit/li
liStrong organizational skills with ability to multitask/li
liAbility to communicate and interface effectively with CEOs, CFOs, Executive Staff, and Human Resources professionals./li
liExceptional attention to detail and time management skills/li
liAbility to express ideas clearly in both written and verbal communications/li
liStrong typing skills/li
liExperience using a CRM system (preferred)/li
liBe willing to work up to 40 hours per week/li

liRising senior of a four-year university preferred/li
li0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./li
liInterest in Insurance Industry/li

The base salary range for this position is $18 to $24 per hour. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives./p
