Warehouse Assistant - Full-time

pDescription/ppCavalier Distributing is one of just a handful of U.S. distributors with a portfolio comprised exclusively of specialty imports and American craft beers. The Miramar, FL warehouse is currently seeking a warehouse associate. This position is Monday 8 AM - 4PM and Tuesday through Friday working approximately 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM./ppbr//ppBasic Function:/ppbr//ppA Warehouse Assistant will assist with daily operations of the warehouse, receive product, manage inventory and assist Warehouse nbsp;and Driver Manager as needed./ppbr//ppPrinciple Responsibilities:/pulliParticipate in the ongoing physical inventory of warehouse items and monitor inventory to maintain adequate supply of items./liliReceive, log and unload incoming freight shipments. Verifies freight against invoice and purchase order./liliOperate a forklift, pallet jack and man lift./liliCheck quality of product prior to pulling order. Report poor quality items to management./liliEffectively and efficiently handle truck loading and receiving./liliStack, wrap and label pallets correctly for each customer to ensure proper routing./liliMaintains warehouse in a clean, orderly manner./liliCoordinate empty keg return pick-ups./liliProfessional and customer friendly./liliAbility to multitask in a customer focused, fast paced environment./liliConsistently make good decisions with minimal supervision./liliAbility to handle stressful situations with professionalism./liliPerform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management./li/ulpbr//ppbr//ppbr//ppbr//ppbr//ppRequirements/ppKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliMinimum one year previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred./liliBasic understanding of Cavalier Distributing products./liliAbility to communicate effectively./liliAbility to speak and write the English language at least as the high school level is required./liliAbility to add and subtract, using whole numbers and decimals./liliAbility to work independently./liliAbility to process information/merchandise./liliAbility to communicate with supervisor./liliAbility to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
