Reporting to CHII leadership, the Lead supervises the Food Bank Coordinator and supports operational workflows, staff and volunteer training, quality improvement, and community engagement. This role ensures compliance with Ryan White Standards of Care, including the provision of food, allowable hygiene and cleaning supplies, and food vouchers (or gift cards with strict usage policies), excluding financialnbsp;assistancenbsp;or non-licensed nutritional counseling. In collaboration with Client Services and Case Management, the Lead helps conduct assessments of client dietary needs andnbsp;maintainsnbsp;accuratenbsp;documentation and disbursement tracking. Working closely with internal departments and community partners, the Food Bank Lead ensuresnbsp;equitablenbsp;access to services,nbsp;food safety, and regulatory compliance. This role also standardizes procedures across sites, supports quality assurance efforts, and aligns food bank programming with CHNrsquo;s broader public health goals.nbsp;/p pEssential Job Functions:nbsp;/p ul li pProvide daily oversightnbsp;and supportnbsp;of food bank operations, including scheduling, staffing, volunteer coordination, and physical site readiness.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMentornbsp;Food Bank Coordinator(s); provide coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pEnsure full compliance with Ryan White Standards of Care and applicable local/state food handling regulations;nbsp;maintainnbsp;all documentation of food safety inspections and licenses.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pCoordinate and document client eligibility assessments and reassessments in partnership with case management and intake teams, including coordinating and conducting Home Delivery for eligible clients with mobility and transportation challenges.nbsp;nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMaintainnbsp;accuratenbsp;and up-to-date records of client service units, including food disbursements, signed receipts, and inventory logs.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMonitor and manage inventory, ensuringnbsp;timelynbsp;food ordering, storage, rotation, and waste minimization practices.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pLead the implementation of policy and procedural updates, particularly those related to food distribution schedules, voucher protocols, and allowable items.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pTrain, onboard, and supervise food bank volunteers; ensure volunteer compliance with driving, liability, and confidentiality requirements.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pSupport data collection and reporting efforts for contracts, grants, and internal program evaluation.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pParticipate in CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) activities and lead process improvements to streamline workflows.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pServe as thenbsp;pointnbsp;person for coordination with internal departments (e.g., Housing, Client Services, Prevention) and community partners related to food access initiatives.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pDevelop outreach strategies to expand CHNrsquo;s volunteer pool and enhance community engagement in food access programming.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pFill in for Food Banknbsp;Coordinators#39;nbsp;duties when needed, including direct client service, food bank deliveries (restocking), food donation pick-up,nbsp;foodnbsp;distribution.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMust have current and valid Colorado driverrsquo;s license; must be able to pass driving record checknbsp;and a CDOT (Colorado Department of Transportation) examnbsp;per CHN insurance requirements.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMust be able to be insured by CHN driving and liability insurance companies.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMust have personal insurance onnbsp;ownnbsp;vehicle if driving on behalf of CHN.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pMust be able to work in a diverse setting with diverse populations, including persons living with HIV, the LGBTQ+ community, persons of various ethnic backgrounds, disenfranchised communities.nbsp;/p /li /ul ul li pParticipation in training related to HIV, substance use, harm reduction, trauma informednbsp;carenbsp;and related issues.
