We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world./pdiv class="ExternalClass650437EF9046430C87109607DEA2848C"p class="MsoNormal"spanIn the role of Assistant Civil Construction Inspector (Highways Roads), we'll count on you to perform the following functions and responsibilities:/spanbr /pullip class="MsoNormal"spanCapable of assisting the Caltrans Resident Engineer in all aspects of required field and office engineering work including, but not limited to the following: inspection of non-structura1 construction operations; inspection of traffic control system compliance; contract change order (CCO) preparation, review, and analysis; and Water Pollution Control Program (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) enforcement./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanCapable of reviewing, inspecting, and approving traffic control systems, including lane closures, in accordance with Caltrans’ standards and requirements. Personnel reviewing, inspecting, and approving traffic control system work shall have one (1) year demonstrated experience in such work./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge and experience with equipment used in roadway construction inspection, surveying, field testing of construction materials, and construction office engineering./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge of computers, computer applications, and computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others); Critical Path Method (CPM) software such as Primavera Project Planner (P3, P6) and SureTrak, or any updated version, as a minimum; Scheduler Analyzer Pro; and Microsoft Project./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge and experience with principles of effective communication and supervision./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge and experience with monitoring labor compliance./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge of subcontracting laws and policies./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge and experience with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program and the General Permit./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge of Caltrans Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, and Construction Manual./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanProper background clearance, as necessary, when performing work on or near the rail system./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanExperience in assisting in preparation of Resident Engineers for the Dispute Review Board (DRB) position papers and meetings./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanExperience in assisting Resident Engineers to respond to preliminary claim findings and preparation for Dispute Review Board (DRB)./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanExperience in preparation of Claims files, documents and reports./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanKnowledge and experience in keeping complete, accurate, and concise records of the work and quantities./span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanWill perform other duties as needed./span/p/li/ul/divdiv class="ExternalClassEA8E6E89C2EF4FDB88B7BB74FD90600D"divspanstrongPreferred Qualifications/strong/span/divdiv /divullip class="MsoNormal"spanTechnical school or Associate degree/span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanRelevant industry certifications/span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanCaltrans experience/span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanExperience in highway/roadway construction inspection/span/p/lilip class="MsoNormal"spanAbility to interpret construction schedules/span/p/li/ul/divbr div class="ExternalClass5E261C36BA744C718EA20B23B790200A"divbRequired Qualifications/b/divdivulliRequires high school diploma or equivalent.
