Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties./p pThis is a full-time  position with competitive rates starting at $17/hr. When appropriate, our standard differentials are 10% for the evening shift, 20% for the night shift, and 15% for weekends./p pYou must be at least 16 years of age to apply for this position. /p pstrongWe are offering a $3,000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position.  *The bonus is available for external hires only (or current D-H employees moving to a 30 - 40 hour per week position from a per diem role) and certain conditions apply./strong/p pstrongTo learn more about our Food and Nutrition Services department and roles - watch here/strong: /p p/p h2Responsibilities/h2 liPatient Tray Assembly and Sanitation:/li liPlates food items and assembles patient meal trays. Assembles add-on sheet items and tube feeding items following proper procedures./li liPrepares food items for all areas, following standardized recipes and production methods. Prepares patient nourishment's and write-ins as tallied following proper production procedures./li liEnsures that area and equipment are maintained up to accepted standards and quality./li liLoads and operates dish washing equipment. Takes dish machine temperatures daily./li liTakes pot machine temperatures daily and pH level of sanitizer./li liPerforms assigned cleaning functions, ensuring that areas and equipment are maintained up to accepted standards of quality./li liOperates floor washing machine/li liMaintains and properly stocks all necessary food and supply items./li liLabels and dates all necessary food and supply items./li liUses and mixes chemicals in a safe manner. Labels all secondary bottles./li liPatient Tray Delivery and Menu Collection:/li liAssists with tray delivery and retrieval./li liCollects patient menus on assigned units./li liAssists patients with menu completion using hard copy menus or laptops./li liPerforms inventory of food and supplies for assigned units. Assembles these supplies and delivers to the assigned unit./li liTakes temperatures of assigned refrigerators and freezers and documents as required/li liRetail Dining Areas:/li liPerforms procedures in the retail areas according to all State and hospital guidelines, including serving, and/or portioning of food, preparing items to order, informing/directing customers as needed./li liTakes refrigeration temperatures, hot and cold food temperatures to assure proper storage and serving temperatures./li liCleans assigned areas/equipment following institutional standards./li liOrders, collects and restocks food supplies in assigned areas./li liDisplays and labels food items using menu boards and POS signage./li liPerforms other duties as required or assigned./li h2Qualifications/h2 ul liHigh school diploma (or GED) strongly preferred./li liAbility to read and write required./li liPrior satisfactory work experience is desired./li /ul h2Required Licensure/Certifications/h2 ul liNone/li /ul
