Initiate activities and discussions that build a positive self-identity.nbsp; Demonstrate support of children and families meeting their goals and prepare the child for academic success.nbsp; Spend one-on-one time with children developing skills and the bond between the teacher and child./li liAssist the teacher by demonstrating activities parents can do at home with their children to support the curriculum and the childrsquo;s learning and developmental needs./li liConfer with teacher(s) to provide feedback on student learning based on instruction and assessment./li liWork with the teacher to create a classroom environment conducive to learning. Utilize instructional methods and materials that are developmentally and culturally appropriate for meeting objectives./li liMaintain a clean, safe learning environment./li liInterpret instructional plans, within guidelines set by a certificated teacher./li liInstruct students in small groups and one-on-one settings with direct teacher oversight./li liAssist the teacher with set up and maintenance of an appropriate classroom environment, including organization of space and material storage./li liAssist with supervision of students in the classroom, on field trips and during other educational activities./li liDevelop caring and trusting relationships with parents and demonstrate a culturally responsive practice./li liMaintain ongoing professional and appropriate communication with parents.
