This position is safety focused and involves a lot of guest interaction and a customer service-oriented mindset to provide a wonderful experience to everyone who comes to enjoy a day at the park.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bWe are currently looking for a:/b/pp style="text-align:inherit"b  /b/pIdlewild amp; SoakZone: Shallow Water Lifeguardp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bRoles amp; Responsibilities:/b/pp style="text-align:inherit"b  /b/pul/ulpbRoles amp; Responsibilities:/b/pp· Perform lifeguard duties while following all park safety and operating procedures/pp· Participate in department audits and required in-service skills training sessions/pp· Work required hours scheduled and adhere to all labor laws/pp· Enforce general park, ride/attraction, and safety rules/pp· Participate in park clean up, including but not limited to picking up trash, straightening chairs, cleaning pools, stacking tubes, wiping tables, and pressure washing/pp· Communicate Park information to guests regarding proper attraction procedures, directions, accessibility, and park policies/pp· Communicate appropriate park or team related concerns to Leadership Team/pp· Keep designated work areas clean and safe of trip hazards/pp· Assist with park clean up during pre and post operations/pp· Any other duties assigned by leadership/pp/ppbEducation and Experience:/b/pp· No education requirements for this position/pp· Previous work experience is not required/pp· Must successfully complete the Ellis amp; Associates Lifeguard Training Program before becoming a lifeguard at Idlewild amp; SoakZone. All Lifeguard candidates will be required to obtain the Ellis Lifeguard Certification instructional handbook and pass all certification requirements. (Swim 25 yards doing front crawl or breaststroke; and Retrieve 10-pound brick from 3 ft of water)/pp/ppbLanguage:/b Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus./pp/ppbRequirements:/b/pp· Must be at least 15 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws/pp· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays/pp· Demonstrated ability to successfully perform all swim tests, water rescues, assists/pp· Ability to comply with all uniform policies/pp· Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding aquatics safety standards/pp· Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/pp· Must be guest-focused and work well with other team members and supervisors/pp· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/pp· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/pp/ppbPhysical Requirements:/b/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
