The Front Desk/Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients in a professional manner; updating and verifying patient information, including obtaining patient ID/insurance information, processing copayments, and registering patients in the billing system; maintaining a smooth flow of communication between patient, provider, and clinical staff; handling scheduling inquiries; and providing other assistance as needed.br /br /Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30a to 4:30pbr /br //div

liGreet and check in patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner./li
liAccurately enter/update/verify insurance information and patient demographics and work with several medical computer programs./li
liCompletes patient registration process by reviewing accounts and other compliance-related documents for completeness and accuracy. Obtains and documents missing information required for registration./li
liPrepares paperwork for patient visits./li
liVerifies patient benefits and eligibility, when needed. Collects all necessary co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, as needed. Responds to questions regarding accounts status, payment arrangements, and concerns. Resolves billing or charge disputes or forwards problem accounts to the appropriate individual for resolution./li
liMonitors patient flow, adjusts workflows, and notifies the clinical staff of any pertinent information and changes./li
liActs as a liaison between patients, guests, back office staff and providers./li
liReconciles cash against daily charge and cash reports./li
liSchedule and confirm patient appointments as needed./li
liCreate, distribute, and file new patient charts/medical records./li
liPerform clerical tasks such as copying, sorting, scanning, and faxing./li
liProperly check out patients, including collecting appropriate co-pays, past due balances, and fees; ensuring proper completion of all forms; updating medical records as needed, etc./li
liKeep the front desk area and waiting room clean and tidy and re-stock with necessary supplies/li
liComply with all policies and procedures of the organization, including but not limited to standard operating procedures and employee handbook./li
liPerform any other duties as assignedbr /br //li

liStrong verbal and written communication skills/li
