div div!--block--The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving quality food and beverage products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards./div/div h2Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h2 divulli!--block--strongBeverage amp; Food Service/strong: Will assist with all coffee drinks, made to order drinks, basic food prep as well as basic cleaning and organizing of goods. Will brew coffee daily, help fill ice machines, and stock new inventories Will wipe down tables, mop, clean work areas, dish wash and keep cafe clean and well maintained and will help with on-site catering events, assist with set up and service as well as catering pick-ups/lili!--block--strongFood Service/strong: Engage with and provide superior service to all customers. Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them. Provide customers with product details, such as ingredients or preparation descriptions. Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints./lili!--block--strongCash Handling/strong: Ring up food orders using cash register and accept payment or make change. Balance receipts and payments in cash registers./lili!--block--strongTeamwork/strong: Contribute to a positive team environment. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments. Identify alarms or changes in morale and performance. Communicate areas of concern to the manager. Maintain calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to set a positive example for the team. Anticipate customer and team needs by evaluating the environment, customers and co-workers for shifts or changes in behavior. Communicate observations to manager as necessary./lili!--block--strongSafety amp; Sanitation/strong: Follow operational policies and procedures. Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines. Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, utensils, and equipment. Clean service and seating areas. Organize and stock supplies, service stations and products. Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. Scrub and polish counters, tables, and other equipment. Clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
