The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:/p h3Housekeeping/h3 ul liPerform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding Sunrise’s quality standards./li liPerform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as resident suites, bathrooms, common areas and offices: ul liSweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all flooring; spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners/li liClean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures/li liDust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture, dust desk and floor lamps, and clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills/li /ul /li liKnock on resident’s doors before entering and respect their privacy during the cleaning process./li liKnock on public restroom doors before entering and wait for a response before beginning the cleaning process./li liMaintain equipment and supplies needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition./li liTransport supplies, to include clean and soiled linen, to the appropriate storage and collection areas./li liCollect trash and remove and for maintaining trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner./li /ul h3Laundry/h3 ul liCollect, clean, and redistribute the community laundry./li liSort, wash, and dry linens properly following approved laundry procedures./li liFold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures./li liInspect linens routinely for wear and tear, identify worn and torn linens, and follow the community’s Standard Operating Procedure for damaged linens./li liMaintain the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition./li /ul h3Resident Care/h3 ul liAssist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested./li liPractice positive resident relations following our Sunrise Shared Values; respond to resident requests and direct resident feedback and requests to immediate supervisor and or Care Manager./li liReview, read, notate, and initial Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident’s physical and behavioral changes./li /ul h3Safety and Risk Management/h3 ul liEnsure cleaning chemicals are kept stored and locked when not in use./li liEnsure any cords, carts, equipment, and other hazards are always kept out of the way, not blocking exits and in compliance with fire codes./li liPartner with community team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations./li liPractice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures./li liMaintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste and damage to areas and equipment and to prevent accidents./li liComply with all infection control techniques, placement of bio-hazard containers and removal techniques, procedures, and policies./li /ul h3Training and Contributing to Team Success/h3 ul liParticipate as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals./li liDemonstrate in daily interactions with others, our Team Member Credo./li liCommit to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service./li liContribute to the overall engagement programs and processes (customer and team member engagement) including participating in the team member engagement survey and engagement improvement planning workshops./li liAttend regular meetings;
