pHeadfirst Summer Camp strongJunior Counselors/strong are team players who are willing to work in any program as needed. While there may be opportunities to specialize in a particular camp program throughout the summer, our Junior Counselors are characterized by their dedication, flexibility, and willingness to work with campers of all ages and interests as the assistant counselor in a group. We provide the training, curriculum daily camp schedules along with all equipment for a successful camp day but need you to bring camp to life with your enthusiasm, dedication and un-matched energy./p

pPre-season (early June): select weekends for training and site preparation/p

h2What You'll Do/h2

listrongBring Camp to Life/strong/li
ul
liCo-lead a group of 12-20 campers for all curricular activities in the schedule with a co-counselor/li
liTeach pre-written curriculum, and engage campers during break times/li
liImplement Headfirst’s safety protocols on supervision, bathrooms, emergency medications, and camper behavior management/li
liCo-lead music and movement, story time, sports and games, moon bounce, bathroom sunscreen breaks, transitions, lunch snack/li
liSupport specialized staff during art, STEM, swim, morning and afternoon program meetings/li
liExecute morning and afternoon carpool as a key player, welcoming each family to camp by name with fantastic dance moves and coordinated carpool procedures/li
liAssist in various roles as requested; for example, as a camper buddy for increased supervision, delivery person for materials, or assistant to camp leaders as they shift activities due to weather or facility issues/li

liWork directly with campers to support them in their emotional, physical, and social development through hands-on exploration and developmentally appropriate activities/li

liRepresent the Headfirst brand daily to families at carpool and to school facility partners throughout the summer by being enthusiastic, helpful, hands-on, and in uniform/li

liWork around small children including, sitting, standing, running, and climbing stairs for the full day./li
liWork in hot and outdoor environments while actively supervising campers and participating in dynamic activities for extended periods of time. /li

liCommitted to adhering to the Cell-Phone Free policy, powering down and putting away cell phones in a locked pouch for the duration of your shift./li
