As the second-in-command, you’ll step into the role of Aquatics Manager when needed, ensuring seamless operations and an exceptional experience for guests and staff alike.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bWe are currently looking for a:/b/pp style="text-align:inherit"b  /b/pIdlewild and SoakZone: Aquatics Senior Supervisorp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bRoles amp; Responsibilities:/b/pp style="text-align:inherit"b  /b/pul/ulh1bRoles and Responsibilities:/b/h1p/ppbSupervisory Duties:/b/pp· Supervise the daily operations of the Aquatics team and any other assigned departments/pp· Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Idlewild and SoakZone’s core values/pp· Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members/pp· Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all aquatics and lifeguarding positions and backfill these positions when needed/pp· Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline./pp· Ensure lifeguard rotations are within the Ellis and Associates standards/pp· Ensure lifeguards are exceeding the Ellis and Associates standards/pp· Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Pennsylvania law/pp· Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities/pp/ppbDepartmental Duties:/b/pp· Delight all guests by quickly and expertly providing courteous assistance to address their questions or concerns./pp· Provide bathroom breaks for all team members, as needed/pp· Render first-aid (within scope of knowledge) to injured guests or team members/pp· Handle operation-related guest concerns and assist with lost children/pp· Escalate major guest concerns to management or maintenance team in a timely manner/pp· Maintain constant vigilance and proactively identify potential hazards; inform Park leadership and/or maintenance team of any such situations in a timely manner/pp· Ensure that all Park areas are clean and free of hazards, prior to daily opening/pp· React in a calm and professional manner during emergency situations/pp· Assist with crowd control in emergency situations/pp· Ensure pre-opening and closing check lists are done by Aquatics team members/pp· Update and ensure proper Zone Coverage and Zone Validations are done for each spot in the park/pp· All other duties assigned by leadership/pp/ppEducation and Experience:/pp· No education requirements for this position/pp· 2-3 years of previous lifeguard experience desired/pp· Must successfully complete the Ellis amp; Associates Lifeguard Training Program before becoming a lifeguard at Idlewild and SoakZone. All Lifeguard candidates will be required to obtain the Ellis Lifeguard Certification instructional handbook and pass all certification requirements. (Swim 200 yards doing front crawl or breaststroke; Retrieve 10-lb brick from 11 ft of water; and tread water without hands for 2 minutes)/pp/ppbLanguage:/b Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus./pp/ppbRequirements:/b/pp· Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Pennsylvania Child Labor Laws/pp· Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays/pp· Must be willing and able to work with a vastly diverse staff of lifeguards/pp· Demonstrated ability to successfully perform all swim tests, water rescues, assists/pp· Ability to comply with all uniform policies/pp· Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding aquatics safety standards/pp· Ability to attend 4 hours of in-service training per month/pp· Ability to take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm/pp· Ability to manage crowd control during emergency situations/pp· Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/pp· Must be guest-focused and work well with other team members and supervisors/pp· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/pp/ppbPhysical Requirements:/b/pp· Ability to swim 200 yards using front crawl/freestyle or breaststroke/pp· Ability to retrieve a 10-pound brick from at least 11 feet of water/pp· Ability to tread water for 2 minutes without the use of hands/pp· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time/pp· Ability to swim, wade, and stand (sometimes in moderate currents)/pp· Ability to frequently kneel, stoop, bend, squat, twist or reach above shoulder-level/pp· Ability to use hands to grasp, finger, handle, or feel/pp· Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds./pp· Ability to aid and physically move guests of varying heights and weights/pp/ppbVision Requirements:/b/pp· Must possess 20/25 correct vision (corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty)/pp· Specific vision abilities are required for this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus./pp· Ability to see differences between colors and brightness/pp· Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away/pp/ppbWorking Conditions:/b/pp· Constant exposure to outdoor (or indoor) aquatics environments/pp· Constant exposure to variable outside (or indoor) temperatures, including high heat, direct sun, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions/pp· Regularly subjected to water and pool chemicals/pp· Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bTeam member benefits:/b/pp style="text-align:inherit"b  /b/pul/uldivpspanspanWorking at Idlewild andspan /span/spanspanSoakZone/spanspanspan /spanis about making people happy!span /span/spanspanIt’s/spanspanspan /spanabout being independent and having fun, making newspan /span/spanspanfriends/spanspanspan /spanand earning extra money while doing so.
