At Voices for Independence, wersquo;re not just offering a job; wersquo;re inviting you to join a community dedicated to improving lives every single day./b/p pVoices for Independence is currently seeking bfull-time/bnbsp;caregivers to assist people with disabilities, helping them live independently in our community./p pAs a caregiver for Voices for Independence, yoursquo;ll play a pivotal role in providing quality care and support to our consumers./p pbOverview:/b/p pbull;Work as an integral part of the Personal Assistance Services (PAS) Team, helping consumers with essential activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, meal prep, laundry, light housekeeping, transfers, medication management, transportation, appointments, etc. for consumers when the agency is in need due to call-off or short-term shift coverage./p pbull;The Floater will be available five days per week and will serve in an on-call capacity, with the flexibility to accept shifts as needed to support the health and safety of consumers in both home and community settings./p pbull;The Floater will work closely with the department regarding availability week to week, as needs for coverage may vary. The Floaternbsp;will be provided assignments with as much notice as possible, understanding that call-off needs may be short notice./p pbull;This position will report any concerns related to the consumers or the consumerrsquo;s home environmentnbsp; in a timely manner and with detail to ensure that proper actions can be taken if necessary./p pbull;The Full-Time Floater will be compensated $15.00 per hours worked. The Full-Time floater will be compensatednbsp;at a minimum base rate of $9.50 for up to 20 hours per week. If the Floater is not scheduled for a full 40-hour work week, then up to 20 hours of base paynbsp;will be included to help bring the Floater to a full-time schedule. (The Floater will not receive this rate if shifts are offered and turned down during the designated time of availability.)nbsp;/p pbull;This position will be compensated for mileage, at the federal rate of reimbursement while traveling on behalf of the organization. Travel time is not considered part of the 40-hour work week./p pbMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/b/p pbull;Must be 18 years of age or older/p pbull;Must be able to read and write/p pbull;Must possess the ability to provide personal care to individuals with disabilities/p pbull;Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends/p pbull;Must have personal transportation/p pbull;Must be able to pass Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances according to DPW regulations/p pbull;Must support the Mission and Vision of Voices for Independence/p pbPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/b/p pbull;Prior experience as a Personal Care Attendant/Assistant/p pbull;CNA or LPN license/p pbIf yoursquo;re passionate about making a positive impact and are ready to take your career to new heights, we want to hear from you!
