As a Fertigation Specialist, you are responsible for supporting irrigation, IPM, and fertigation methods and procedures. Fertigation Specialists may be cross-trained and asked to support other departments from time to time to meet business needs. /p pstrongThis is a full-time position at $17/hr. /strong/p/div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"Essential Duties and Responsibilities/H2 /divdivul liPrepare and mix nutrients. /li liCoordinate watering and fertigation schedules. /li liEnsure irrigation and fertigation are done accurately and meet quality standards. /li liPerform routine testing of pH, EC, PPM filtration, irrigation systems, nutrient concentrations, etc. /li liMonitor temperature and dissolved oxygen levels. /li liTrack and record daily water usage. /li liCalibrate and clean all pH and EC meters. /li liSupport maintaining inventory of fertigation nutrients and supplies. /li liMonitor and maintain quality control measures in accordance with state and local laws. /li liAdhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). /li liMaintain a clean and safe working environment within the facility and production areas in addition to wearing proper PPE. /li liImmediately inform the Fertigation Manager of any system discrepancies. /li liVisually inspect plants for any diseases, insects, and mold, reporting concerns to management for remediation. /li liDocument all activity using the company’s track and trace system. /li liWork within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity. /li liRegularly clean and sanitize fertigation equipment, tools, and work areas, including dusting tanks, plumbing, etc. /li liProvide support to additional cultivation, harvest, and production teams as needed to achieve facility production goals. /li liCoordinate IPM spray schedules and accurately report in the logbook. /li liFollow bug deployment schedule for the plants.   /li liPerform other duties as assigned by management. /li /ul /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"Minimum Qualifications/H2 /divdivul liMinimum 1-3 years' experience in a related position. /li liAble to follow detailed instruction and capable of performing repetitive tasks. /li liMust have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment. /li liWilling to learn about, operate, and maintain facility equipment in a safe manner. /li liComfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces. /li liAbility to safely climb, squat, bend, twist, kneel and stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds. /li liMust be authorized to work in the United States. /li liMust be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent. /li liMust comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry. /li /ul /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"Preferred Qualifications/H2 /divdivul liHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. /li liPrevious experience in a regulated production facility (food, beverage, CPG, etc.) preferred. /li liBasic knowledge of plant structure and horticulture preferred. /li /ul /div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"Physical and Mental Demands/H2 /divdivpWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. Comfortable with heights, occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights, filters, trellis netting and ceiling fans up to 25ft. Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to chemicals and cleaners as directed as needed. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
