This role ensures a seamless registration process by scheduling procedures, securing necessary authorizations, and maintaining complete and organized patient records, all while providing exceptional customer service.nbsp;brbrstrongEssential Functions/strong/pulliInteracts with patients and their families to address questions and provide courteous, timely assistance./liliRegulates schedules based on procedure requirements, physician availability, and staffing needs./liliSchedules patient procedures as required and pre-registers scheduled patients by obtaining accurate demographic information./liliVerifies insurance eligibility using designated applications, captures correct health insurance details, and secures necessary authorizations and verifications for services./liliCollects and records patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable./liliCommunicates operative reports daily to appropriate physician offices./liliCompiles and organizes documentation to ensure completion of patient medical records./liliPrepares charts for upcoming procedures, including nursing documentation and registration forms./liliMaintains the medical records system by filing reviewed charts and coordinating storage according to established policies and procedures./liliResponds to requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner./liliAnswers and returns phone calls, addressing questions with professionalism and courtesy./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliMaintains regular and reliable attendance./liliComplies with all policies and standards./li/ulpstrongQualifications/strong/pulli0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required/lili0-2 years of experience in a customer service role required/li/ulpstrongKnowledge, Skills and Abilities/strong/pulliStrong interpersonal and customer service skills./liliAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentiality./liliProficiency in using registration systems and insurance verification tools./liliAttention to detail and accuracy in data entry./liliExcellent organizational and time-management skills./li/ul
