Lead Preschool Teacher

pPosition: Preschool Lead Teacher/p pnbsp;/p pLocation:nbsp;Various/p pnbsp;/p pReports To:nbsp;Early Childhood Coordinator/p pnbsp;/p pLead Preschool Teachers for our tuition-based program are responsible for the planning, supervision, and implementation of a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom in order to meet the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of the children.nbsp; The teacher needs to be a team player, enthusiastic and nurturing with at least one year of experience as a lead teacher.nbsp; Hours will be Monday-Friday, approximately 20-29 hours per week./p pnbsp;/p pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul liMust of one of the following education requirements:/li /ul ol ol liValid CDA/li liAssociates Degree in Early Childhood/li liBachelor's Degree in Early Childhood or closely related field/li /ol /ol ul liAt least 19 years old/li liMust have 3 credit hours in Child Care administration/li liMust be able to pass a criminal history and childcare background checknbsp;/li liCurrent CPR and first aid certification (must be maintained annually)/li liEvidence of strong teamwork, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills/li liEvidence of accurate record-keeping/li liAbility to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with program goals/li liAbility to assess young children using program assessments and evaluation methods/li liMaintains a positive working relationship with parents/guardians and staff/li liDiscretion with confidential information/li liAbility to exercise good judgment and make decisions in accordance with board policies and administrative guidelinesnbsp;/li /ul pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liOversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the classroom program and child assessment through Creative Curriculum/li liMaintain a positive and appropriate educational program that meets the social, emotional, physical/li liand intellectual needs of the children within their care./li liDevelop and implement age appropriate lesson plans for the children in your care/li liAssure that all State of Michigan licensing rules are being followed in your classroom/li liCommunicate on a daily basis with parents/li liTrain and lead assistant teachers in your classroom/li liProvide children with a consistent classroom routine/li liImplement experiential learning activities to advance the intellectual and emotional competence of preschoolers/li liProvide positive guidance and discipline supporting children as they acquire readiness skills for kindergartenbr /and beyond/li liFrequently lift or move weight as in lifting, carrying, or holding children up to 60 lbs/li liRepetitively bend, stretch and stoop/li liWork with children on the floor/li liFully maintain sight and sound child supervision/li liPerform light cleaning duties/li liOther duties as assigned/li /ul pnbsp;Starting pay is based on education and experience/p pnbsp;/p pApplicants must apply online atnbsp;a href="https://uticak12.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx"https://uticak12.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx/a.nbsp; Please scan and upload your cover letter, resume, transcripts, credentials and letters of recommendation to your online application.
