Meat department employees will ensure high level of customer engagements and satisfaction at all times. You will also will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by wrapping, packaging and cutting the meat and related products. nbsp;/ppnbsp;/pulliPerforms duties in a safe and efficient mannernbsp;/liliGreets customers and provides them with prompt and courteous service and assistance as needed/liliBe knowledgeable in and able to differentiate between all various types of meats, Fish and related merchandise including taste, preparation, method of use, and price differences between varieties of similar classes of products (i.e. different types of shrimp, scallops, etc.)nbsp;/liliWraps, weighs and prices all meats and related products processed in the Meat Department, following approved proceduresnbsp;/liliEnsures that all meat cuts are properly trimmed and attractively presentednbsp;/liliEnsures that product pricing makes adequate allowances for tare weights and shrink, as applicablenbsp;/liliTakes products to refrigerated storage or shelf areanbsp;/liliEnsures that all displayed shelves are properly stocked and faced at all times according to the product movement, tag allocation, and department standardnbsp;/liliAssists with ordering wrapping supplies for the department (trays, shrink wrap film, labels, etc.)nbsp;/liliRotates products in accordance with all of the department policies and product code datesnbsp;/liliAssists with regularly scheduled inspections of packaged products for freshness and visual appeal, pulling products for re-wrapping as requirednbsp;/liliEnsures that all signs and prices are maintained accurately and are correctly positioned over each respective product/liliChecks refrigeration equipment regularly for proper temperatures and performancenbsp;/liliTakes care of damaged and spoiled products according to department procedures and takes positive action to control shrinkage and pilferage lossesnbsp;/liliMaintains a regular and effective housekeeping and sanitation program that meets the standards established by the department and all applicable health regulationsnbsp;/liliParticipates in training activities to increase personal skill levels, and to improve overall department processes and customer servicenbsp;/liliMeets the physical requirements to perform the job functions listed abovenbsp;/liliPossesses extensive knowledge of the meat department and related products nbsp;/liliReceive supplies, organize and maintain inventorynbsp;/liliDress and groom according to Company policy including uniform, name badge and hat or hair restraint requirementsnbsp;/liliComplete all applicable department training programsnbsp;/liliPerform all duties in accordance with all ShopRite Service Priorities (Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency)nbsp;/liliAbility to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25lbsnbsp;/liliFollow approved procedures for receiving, code-dating, preparing, storing, price-marking, scaling, and restocking products to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotationnbsp;/liliMaintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment nbsp;nbsp;/liliClean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with company health and safety standards nbsp;/liliEnsure that all garbage cans in the department have tightly closed lids on top of them at all times; it is a MUST that gloves get changed after each garbage disposal nbsp;nbsp;/li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongPreferred Qualifications:nbsp;/strong/ppstrongnbsp;/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalency degreenbsp;/liliEligible to work in the US. nbsp;/liliMust be able to lift up to 25-50 pounds/liliMust be 18 and over nbsp;/liliAbility to perform basic Math nbsp;/liliAbility to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problemsnbsp;/liliAble to work well with others as a team membernbsp;/liliA passion for serving people/li/ulpnbsp;/ppnbsp;/ppbr/p/div/div/div
