Ready to bring your best?/span/pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ppuPosition Responsibilities/u/pulliSafe and efficient operation of production equipment to include: Gable-top carton filling and packaging equipment./liliAbility to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation./liliCollect routine product samples and perform routine seal integrity testing to inspect the carton for leaks, tears and perform dye inspections for quality assurance./liliSet-up and use the appropriate gable-top cartons in accordance with the production run schedule./liliSet-up packaging coders, validate product codes in accordance with code specifications./liliIdentify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions.   Follow the established notification protocol./liliPerform routine equipment adjustments./liliSafe operation of a lift truck./liliAccurately and neatly complete production records and documents./liliPerform equipment change-overs, CIP/SIP, clean-up and equipment set-up./liliPerform environmental controls./liliPerform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines./liliSupport internal and external audits./liliFollow all established occupational health and safety procedures./liliFollow all established GMP’s and Food Safety requirements./liliCross-train with other departments./liliPerform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines./liliComply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations./liliAdhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy./liliWork together with co-workers and other department personnel./liliOther duties as required by management./li/ulpuJob requirements/u/pulliGood math skills. /liliGood attendance is a must./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills. /liliProficient computer skills, software and data entry, SAP a plus.   /liliExperience in milk pasteurization a plus./liliAdvanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required./liliA working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, HACCP, SOP,5S, GMP, etc.)./liliLift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck). Training is provided./liliStrong technical skills, ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations./liliSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug screen andspan /spanbackground check./li/ulp/ppuPhysical Demands/u/pulliAbility to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift./liliWorking with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures./liliPhysical lifting up to 40-lbs frequently throughout the shift./liliShift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Our equipment operators are assigned to a team on a 3-shift, 24/7 operation to support manufacturing.  This can either be days, swing or night shift and weekends.
