functions of the Registry software./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Assists in printing, organizing charts for abstraction and review./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Assists in abstracting charts utilizing the Trauma Services Data Collection Forms./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Assists in assigning AIS and ISS scores./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Enters and maintains patient information in the Texas EMS/Trauma Registry for DHR./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Manages the DHR Trauma Registry including maintaining a concurrent registry in compliance with the Texas Trauma Registry, National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) and American College of Surgeons (ACS) Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) for verification, state designation and national benchmarking./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Maintains various file types and logs (e.g. trauma admit log, trauma activation log)/span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Educates team members on use of Trauma Registry software, components and ongoing system enhancements as well as data dictionary updates./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Monitors compliance with required training including but not limited to annual TQIP user training, TQIP quizzes, open form calls and other required registrar training outlined by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Resources for Optimal care of the Injured Patient. /span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Maintains a system for data cleaning to ensure the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the database (e.g. inter-rater reliability audits, NTDB filter criteria) in accordance with state and national regulatory requirements./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Accurately identifies the patient population for entry and tracking into the Digital Innovations v5 Trauma Registry in compliance with the Texas Department of State health Services of EMS and Trauma requirements and DHR specific requirements (e.g. ICD-10 code, transfer, death, ICU admission, length of stay, readmission./span/lilispan style="font-size:11pt"Supports Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator in preparing reports for the purposes of
