Direct Care Adult Mental Health - Full-time

pCHD’s Adult Mental Health division is looking for new team members! Currently hiring strongResidential Support Specialists/strong to provide direct care to our clients. The program works with adults in the community who are suffering from various forms of mental illness. We are looking for people who have an interest in psychology and a firm belief that all members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect./p pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liDaily activities include providing direct services to program clients living in a group home setting in the community/li liSupporting clients' activities of daily living, administering medications as needed,/li liAdvocating for individuals within various community settings, and providing opportunities to optimize their independence, rehabilitation and recovery/li liDevelop professional and supportive relationships with clients and provide informal counseling and guidance with a person-centered focus/li liThe ideal candidates will have a desire to work with members of our community who have mental illness/li /ul pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul liHigh School Diploma or Equivalent/li liHave a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/li liMust have a vehicle for work use and current driver's license/li liAbility to complete medication administration trainingstrong (MAP)/strong/li liPreferred candidates have active CPR and First Aid Certifications./li liAll candidates must complete and pass background record screening process/li /ul pstrongPay rate:/strong $20/hour./p pstrongSchedule:/strong Ideal candidate will be available evenings and weekends. 2supnd/sup and 3suprd/sup shift positions are now open./p pstrongSuccess Factors:/strong  Strong interpersonal skills, Empathy for others, demonstrated commitment to serving those with significant needs, Ability to work well within a team model and independently.  Display engagement with participants and co-workers, empathetic and understanding approach to those served./p pstrongAt Center for Human Development, (CHD), Care finds a way: /strong/p pThe Center for Human Development (CHD) provides a broad range of high quality, community-oriented human services dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and protecting the dignity and welfare of people in need.
