Guest Room Supervisor - Full-time

We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor at one of our hotel properties. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for all functions of the housekeeping department, including the supervision of other housekeepers. The Housekeeping Supervisor will set the schedule for the other housekeepers, ensure all housekeepers are performing up to company standards, and required to fill-in when other housekeepers are absent. Come help make a difference and join our hardworking team!/p pstrongJob Responsibilities/strong/p ul liSupervise and train all housekeeping staff according to company standard operating procedures /li liSchedule housekeeping staff based on company needs/li liEnsure all housekeepers are performing up to company standards /li liEnsure all guest rooms are serviced and cleaned according to company standards/li liInspect and verify that all vacant rooms are ready to sell prior to opening/li liEstablish standards for work of housekeeping staff/li liEnsure all housekeeping equipment is in good working order and notify General Manager if not/li liFill-in when other housekeepers are absent /li liMaintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing company standards and procedures/li liEnsure adequate supplies of cleaning materials are available/li liEnsure that all employee, public, and guest areas are kept clean/li liNotify General Manager immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy/li liNotify General Manager of any guest concerns/li liMaintain superior customer service when interacting with guests/li liReconcile daily paperwork with General Manager prior to end of shift/li /ul pstrongSkills/Experience/strong/p ul liMinimum 1-year housekeeping experience with proven skills and performance or 6 months’ supervisory experience in rooms division or related position/li liAny combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma/li liAny other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities/li liPossess good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry operations, cleaning standards and techniques /li liAbility to visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentation/li liAbility to read, speak and write in an efficient manner in order to interact with guests and staff./li liAbility to compose and express thoughts in a clear and concise way to ensure effective communication/li liAbility to manage multiple activities often in stressful situations with time constraints and manage multiple staff members efficiently/li liAbility to follow instructions, directions and meet deadlines/li liAbility and flexibility to work long hours on a regular basis as business conditions demand/li liAbility to use time management skills to effectively get tasks accomplished and work independently with little or no supervision /li /ul pstrongMental and Physical Demands /strong/p ul liRegularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds/li liThis position is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl/li liSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus/li liIndoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces/li liStanding for eight (8) hour shifts/li liExposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heat/li /ul pstrongPerks Benefits/strong/p ul liEasy to follow training programs supportive team throughout the onboarding process/li liHealth, dental, vision, life and disability insurance for Full-time Employees/li li401k with company match /li liPTO for Full-time employees/li liFlexible schedules /li /ul pemThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
