That�s why in 2021, emThe Denver Post/em named Shaw to the �Top Work Place� list for the third time. #WeAreShaw means more than just working at Shaw, it represents the diversity, safety culture and community of Shaw./p pstrongJob Summary: /strongDelivery of material or equipment as needed to jobsites in a safe, efficient manor./p pstrongDuties Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liMaintains a current Class A CDL and Class B CDL, Commercial Driver�s License/li liPrepares DOT required log of time on duty and driving./li liOrganizes and secures loads./li liAssists forklift operators when loading./li liConfirms orders for accuracy./li liUnloads/loads materials if necessary./li liComplete and maintain DVIR, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports in accordance with State, Federal and Company Requirements, including daily pre-inspection (392.7), in-route (392.9) and post-inspections (396.11) and maintains proper log books of each./li liCompetency with and confidence to perform Federal and DOT inspections including Levels I through Level VI./li liRecords all equipment or material that is returned to the yard./li liFollows guidelines established by the Department of Transportation/li liMust verify Compliance with US Department of Transportation (USDOT) English Proficiency Requirements for Truckers which became effective June 25, 2025./li liOperates all trucks in a safe and efficient manner, maintains records regarding equipment use and time charged./li liAssists supervisor, other associates and other work areas, as assigned./li liAssists in maintaining good housekeeping in the yard./li liPerforms other duties as assigned./li /ul pstrongEducation/Experience:/strong/p ul liHigh School GED level education preferred./li liAbility to read orders, write instructions and complete forms (in English)/li li12 months of CDL experience including lumber and equipment transport./li /ul pstrongCertifications/Required Training:/strong/p ul liForklift Certification/li liLoad securement certification/li liClean driving record and current operator�s license./li liTemperatures will vary. Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools. Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time. Eye protection and steel toed (safety toed) hard sole leather boots required at all times. Hard Hat, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses as required by each Shaw project specific PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Requirement(s)/li liOvertime and irregular work could be involved/li /ul pstrongSkills Required: /strongPhysical strength, hand-eye coordination and endurance. Must be able to concentrate on assigned tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Ability to read, understand and execute work in compliance with construction documents. Ability to understand State and Federal Road Rules and Regulations, safety requirements, be aware of safety hazards, and to work safely at all times./p pstrongPhysical Demands Work Environment:/strong/p ul liPerformance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction./li liSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus./li liPerforming this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl./li liEmployee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds./li liWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction / project site(s) and equipment/lumber yard where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
