Leasing Community Interns (LCIs) must possess the skills to cooperate and collaborate as a team. The Leasing Community Intern also strives for 100% occupancy through retention of existing residents, leasing current availability and pre-leasing of future availability./span/p pspanstrongRESPONSIBILITIES/strong (Including but not limited to)/span/p ul lispanBe an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied./span/li lispanAdministrative Front Desk tasks and duties./span/li lispanParticipate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required./span/li lispanUtilize the Cardinal Way of Leasing by:/span ul lispanWarmly greeting prospective clients/span/li lispanAnswering incoming leasing calls/span/li lispanDetermining needs and preferences/span/li lispanProfessionally presenting the community and apartment homes/span/li lispanUtilizing feature/benefit selling/span/li lispanClosing the sale/span/li lispanFollowing up/span/li /ul /li lispanComplete all lease applications and lease file paperwork./span/li lispanRequired to pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified./span/li lispanMaintain accurate lease file documentation in accordance with company policy; participate in lease file audits as assigned by the Community Manager./span/li liMaintain cleanliness of the tour path to ensure for a positive first impression of the community./li lispanDemonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors./span/li lispanParticipate in and assist with planning community events./span/li lispanAssist with various additional community projects as assigned by the Community Manager./span/li lispanParticipate in Cardinal U training as required./span/li lispan“On-call” responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds, etc.)/span/li lispanRequired to work evenings and weekends/span/li /ul pstrongspanQUALIFICATIONS/span/strong/p ul lispanHigh school diploma or equivalent./span/li lispanMust be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours./span/li lispanMust have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university./span/li lispanMust maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.  GPA will be verified on an annual basis.
