Position Overview:
p style="margin: 0px;"spanThe Driller is responsible for safely and efficiently boring exploratory vertical holes to evaluate subsurface soil and rock conditions. This role requires a Class A CDL and a minimum of 2 years of experience operating hollow-stem auger drilling equipment and performing rock coring. The Driller will support geotechnical and environmental investigations by obtaining high-quality soil and rock samples, maintaining drilling equipment, and ensuring all work meets safety and project standards./span/p
Responsibilities:
p style="margin: 0px;" /pulliAct as crew chief for a drilling crew, directing and performing drilling services and well installations./liliOversee the operation of testing and drilling equipment and ensure that all equipment, including jackhammers, rigs, drill, pressure washers, etc.) are maintained, functioning properly, cleaned, and always calibrated./liliCollect and conduct testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials to project specifications./liliComplete and submit timely paperwork, reports, and presentations./liliCommunicate with dispatch, field supervisors, and other stakeholders for status reports, issues, etc./liliMaintain an assigned company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep)./liliReport to job sites on time, follow all safety protocols, and enter work time daily/li/ulp style="margin: 0px;" /p
Posted Salary Range:
Starting from USD $30.00/Hr.
Qualifications:
p style="margin: 0px;"/lili High school diploma with 5+ years of related experience (or similar combination). /lili Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record./lili Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Field Data Collection (FDC) software. /lili Strong time management, mathematical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. /lili Able to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on producing high-quality work./lili Ability to read, write, and interpret blueprints, procedures, manuals, technical documents, and reports. /lili OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER, CDL, or Licensed Water Well Contractor certifications a plus./p
Physical Demands Work Environment:
p style="margin: 0px;"This position primarily works in an outdoor work environment, regularly exposed to varying field conditions, including:/pulliSites that may not be accessible by vehicle, requiring travel on foot through wetlands, swamps, grasslands, fields, and other uneven or rugged terrain with natural and man-made obstacles such as sand, brush, and debris./liliModerate to loud noise levels, common in active construction and industrial environments./liliExposure to environmental elements including dirt, dust, sun, heat, humidity, and adverse weather conditions./li/ulp style="margin: 0px;"The physical requirements for this position may include and are not limited to:/pulliAbility to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion./liliAbility to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods./liliFrequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment./liliAbility to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections./liliAbility to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams./liliAbility to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit)./li/ul
Travel Requirements:
p style="margin: 0px;"This position requires extensive travel, approximately up to 70% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments.
