Collects and documents all patient demographics. /li liInsurance eligibility verification and collection of appropriate copays. Receive and post all payments as appropriate./li liProvide efficiencies in scheduling and managing patients and scheduling of appointments, assemble patient forms for appointments./li liMaintain strong organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures for medical practice./li liKnowledge of medical practice principles, practices and procedures./li liProcess incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, politely and as quickly as possible. Document phone messages in EHR as appropriate. /li liAlert supervisor to any insurance issues in an efficient and timely manner./li liPromote existing and new programs and/or policies of Family Health West and the outpatient clinics both internally and externally, exhibiting professional and respectful behavior to others at all times./li liComplete scanning as assigned into patient charts in a timely manner./li liDirect patient contact assisting with intake registration, escorting and assisting physician with duties as assigned./li liDemonstrate fiscal responsibility./li liReliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day./li liCommunicate necessary information to others as appropriate./li liProvide support of projects and demonstrate strong communication skills both oral and written./li liFollow up on patient referrals ensure timely processing./li liCall for authorization for Worker’s Compensation patients./li liSubmit for authorization of treatment/procedures to insurance companies as needed and directed by Practice Manager or Practice Director./li liPrepare and send all referrals/documentation to outside providers as needed./li liRequest documentation from outside providers and scan documentation into Medical EMR. Access records from QHN and Paper version as needed./li liParticipate in regularly scheduled staff meetings with each practice MOS staff and Staff Manager to go over any issues, new processes, etc./li liMaintain knowledge of programs such as Patient Portal, EMR, QHN, Gmail and associated programs, etc./li liTrain new hires as needed./li liComply with Competency Audits and Trainings as directed by Practice Directory/Practice Manager./li liOther job related duties as assigned./li /ul pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongWage Range/strong/span/p pThe wage starts at $18.55 and goes up with experience/p pstrongImmunizations required for employment, including flu vaccine/strong/p pspan style="text-decoration: underline;"strongBenefits/strong/span/p pFHW offers a full benefits package including: br /FOR ALL EMPLOYEES:br /Employee Assistance Program br /403 (B) with 4% match from FHW and zero day vesting schedulebr /FOR FULL TIME EMPLOYEES WORKING AT LEAST 30 HOURS A WEEKbr /Medical Plan Options: br /I.
