The Sales Associates are responsible for engaging with customers, determining their needs and ensure those needs are met. Helping in the aisle is just the beginning! Other/pptasks may be requested by management./pulliGreet and offer assistance to customers as soon as you encounter them./liliAlways be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers./liliAssist customers with finding products in assigned departments, or storewide, and provide needed advice or information. Inform managers of products customers are asking for that we do not carry./liliWatch for shoplifters and act, in line with company policy, that will discourage shoplifting. Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting. /liliProvide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. /liliAlways wear your radio and headset to effectively communicate with other associates or management. Must have on your name tag, clean vest or Ace labeled attire at all times./liliSolve problems and propose solutions to customers. /liliMaintain awareness of weekly and monthly sales/advertisements to inform customers about special sales./liliMake price changes on merchandise according to price change sheets designated by Management team./liliRemove sale prices and promotional displays, etc and post current promotional signage./liliAssist customers with the handling of large or heavy items as well as outdoor carryout orders./liliScreen repair, cut pipe, glass, shades, make keys, filling propane, mixing paint etc. may be required./liliAssist customers with complaints unless they require a manager./liliReview and follow company policies and procedures./liliCooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team./liliAttend store meetings, training sessions, etc. arranged by the company./liliProvide and accept constructive suggestions and instructions./liliFronting, stocking, and merchandising products./liliLift, move and handle boxes of merchandise/fixtures throughout the store./liliHelp maintain a clean and safe work environment. /liliKnowledge of retail hardware products along with a willingness to learn./liliPromote Ace Rewards and Lurie Children’s Hospital campaigns./liliGrow and support our business customer partnerships./liliHelp unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management). /liliMaintain your assigned department:  Keep clean, organized and fully stocked./liliRoutinely verify inventory accuracy and assist in making necessary corrections and let management know right away of any discrepancies./li/ulpstrongRequired Knowledge,/strong/ppstrongSkills and Abilities  /strong                             /pp● Customer satisfaction-oriented/pp● Attention to detail /pp● Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn /pp● Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills a plus/pp● At least 18 years old/pp● Ability to lift at least 50lbs/pp● Excellent problem-solving skills/pp● Knowledge of company systems and procedures/pp● Positive attitude/ppbr //pp /ppstrongPay amp; Perks/strong/pulli401(k) Benefits/liliAce Hardware Employee Perks /liliIn-Store Discount/liliAccess to PerkSpot – an online discount service!
