Constructs learning materials and/or games appropriate for specific skills.nbsp; Distributes and collects material as directed, and assists with the filing and cataloging of materials.nbsp; Assists in the preparation and maintenance of bulletin boards./li liPerforms clerical duties, including preparing and operating technology, photocopying, laminating, and instructional materials./li liProvides input to the teacher in planning daily and long-range programs for students./li liModels the WJCC Strategic Plan Values: Individualism, Integrity, Innovation, Accountability and Collaboration./li liPerforms other duties as assigned in support of the teacher./li /ul /div div h2span style="font-size: 14pt;"Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required)/span/h2 /div div ul liMust possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./li liAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form./li liAbility to write routine reports and correspondence./li liAbility to communicate through clear and grammatically proper speech, and basic writing and computing skills./li liConcern for general welfare and education of children; ability to accept and support all children; ability to maintain confidentiality./li liPatience, dependability, interest, punctuality, and ability to follow directions./li liuTeacher Assistant II/u: completion of a minimum of 48 hours of college credit./li /ul /div div h2span style="font-size: 14pt;"Supervision Exercised/span/h2 /div div pMonitors classroom activities in absence of the teacher./p /div div h2span style="font-size: 14pt;"Supervision Received/span/h2 /div div pPerforms duties under the direct supervision of assigned teacher; receives annual performance evaluation from the principal./p /div div h2span style="font-size: 14pt;"Working Conditions and Physical Requirements/span/h2 /div div pDuties are normally performed in a school/classroom environment. Duties may be occasionally performed on field trips away from school. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Duties may involve risk resulting from attending to studentsrsquo; physical or sanitation/hygiene needs.
