pstrongEssential Functions:/strong/p

liResponsible for securing the facilities by providing opening/closing duties, responds to security issues, and ensures a safe environment for staff and clients./li
liMonitors all patient facing areas and looks for any diversion or loitering activities. /li
liActs as a positive role-model to individuals being served./li
liKeeps client traffic moving effectively and safely through the main clinic area./li
liProvides a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for clients to conduct their daily business./li
liIdentifies any potential crisis situations and informs the appropriate staff./li
liDevelops rapport with clients and answer questions regarding clinic functions./li
liInforms and reminds clients of site rules./li
liSupports Trauma Informed Care perspective. Understands the effects of trauma, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those served in the OTP./li
liEscorts visitors to the facility and provides tours as needed./li
liProvides cleaning duties during clinic down times to ensure testing bathrooms are kept tidy and front lobby is free of debris. Walks through the front entrance of the clinic daily to ensure clients are keeping the site clean. /li
liCleans and sanitizes bodily fluid spills in the patient facing areas of the clinic./li
liResponsible for identifying and safely disposing of any syringes or other paraphernalia found in the clinic or surrounding clinic grounds./li
liEncourages clients to pick up after themselves and create a warm, clean, recovery environment./li
liAttends debrief meetings on any client safety or threat issues, contributes to and identifies solutions with multidisciplinary OTP team./li
liServes as member of Safety Committee. Ensures safety protocols are followed and conducts practice drills for staff./li
liAssists with equipment installation, receiving packages and mail./li
liPerforms basic janitorial and maintenance of the Tribal facilities and furniture; including but not limited to; collects and deposits cardboard, change lightbulbs, and moves office furniture./li
liChecks fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and refers problems to supervisor for resolution./li
liResponds to false alarms during business hours; i.e. pulled fire alarms, etc./li
liAssists with transporting clients to various appointments./li
liPerforms a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor./li

pstrong /strongstrongEducation, Experience, and Licenses:/strong/p
ul
liHigh school diploma or GED required./li
liRequires one (1) year of experience in a role interacting with the public or providing security services; facilities maintenance experience preferred./li
liIf a recovering chemically dependent person must be in a program of recovery and able to provide documentation of sobriety for a minimum of two years./li
liExperience with issues involving addiction required./li
liOR equivalent combination of education, training and experience./li

liMust maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license or obtain one upon hire, qualify for the Tribe’s vehicle insurance, and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance./li

liProven ability to work independently and interpret policies and procedures, under pressure with little or no supervision./li
liAbility to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure./li
liAbility to work with all levels of individuals, including disgruntled people in an effective manner./li
liAbility to demonstrate boundaries and concise clear communication skills./li
liFollows and enforces all safety and security protocols./li
liDemonstrated working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft programs./li
liAbility to operate standard office equipment (i.e. copier, fax machine, personal computer)./li
liExcellent interpersonal skills oral and written./li
liMust be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Knowledge of ethical and legal requirements and restrictions pertaining to the maintenance of medical records, as well as facility policies, HIPAA and other federal regulations./li
liRequires strong commitment to accurately completing task, solving problems, demonstrating initiative, organization, and attention to detail./li
liAbility to compile written reports; read and interpret various documents; and obtain the cooperation of Tribal programs./li
liKnowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture is required./li

liContinually requires the ability to express or receive detailed information or important instructions through oral communication./li
liContinually requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. Requires repetitive movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks./li
liRequires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time, raising objects from a lower to a higher position and/or moving objects horizontally./li
liOccasionally requires lifting of up to 40 pounds./li
liThis position is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions./li

liSupports a safe work environment by performing all duties in accordance with Tribal safety policies and procedures, and Emergency Management Plan. /li

liDue to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations./li
liMay be called upon to serve as a Disaster Reservist during emergencies./li
liLocal travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required./li
