As a Clinical Recovery Coordinator I, yoursquo;ll be hands-on in the organ, eye, and tissue recovery process, ensuring every donation is carried out with skill, respect, and precision. This role is critical to turning the gift of donation into renewed lives for transplant recipients, directly supporting Infinite Legacyrsquo;s mission to save and enhance lives while honoring donors and their families./ppstrongAccountabilities:/strong/pulliMaintains a work schedule of 36-48 hours per week. strongAdditional shifts can be picked up during times of high activity or based on departmental needs/strong./liliWorking 12 hours day or night shift, with potential for a prolonged timeframe due to travel or at employees#39; discretion./liliEvaluates medical suitability of potential organ and/or tissue donors, utilizing information from medical records, history and physical examination, and current health status./liliCollaborates with the host hospitalrsquo;s medical staff and medical director to strongdirect the clinical management of potential organ and/or tissue donors./strong/liliRequests and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests strongneeded for evaluation of suitability and clinical management of potential organ and/or tissue donors./strong/liliWorks closely with the Family Services Coordinators in offering potential donor families the option of donation in an appropriate and sensitive manner. May obtain informed consent in accordance with State and local Law and established organizational policies. Be proficient at presenting the opportunity of donation to the legal next-of-kin. Act as professional resource to the family regarding the opportunity of organ and tissue donation./liliCollaborates with the Donor Services Center staff to facilitate strongall aspects of the organ/tissue donation process, to includenbsp;/strongcommunications regarding organ/tissue suitability, coordination of transportation and other logistics for local and outside recovery programs and planning for operative phase of recoveryu./u/liliCoordinates with Tissue Recovery team to facilitate strongall aspects of the organ/tissue recovery process, including/strong all documentation requirements, Medical Examiner clearance, and coordination of the recovery site./lilistrongIn conjunction/strong with the Donor Services Center staff, coordinates and participates in all aspects of long-distance organ donor recoveries./liliAssists the Hospital Services and Family Services departments with donor follow-up activities as needed./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongRequired Experience:/strong/pulliRN certification or college degree in health care related field preferred.
