Ensures customers are delighted by performing the key steps of our selling model./p p /p pstrongMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/strong/p ul liConveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed Customer Service by performing the following Sales and Service Process steps: ul liGreeting the Customer/li liExplaining the Process in a transparent way/li liMerchandise Selection/li liFitting - AccuFit/li liSolve visual problems or challenges for customers/li liTendering/li liDispensing/li /ul /li liServes as a center of excellence for others with a focus on Right the First Time and modeling our CEE service and selling model./li liAssists the customer in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their vision, lifestyle and budgetary needs. Suggests improvements and recommends solutions to problems.  Assists other retail associates with difficult and complex areas of customer product needs and prescriptions./li liAnticipates problems before they occur; explores underlying reasons for recurring customer problems; goes beyond symptoms to get at causes; strives to develop long-term solutions to problems./li liShows patience and courtesy with customers; tracks down answers to unfamiliar questions or products./li liEducates the customer on LensCrafters’ guarantees and services including: Eyewear Protection Plan, eyewear care tips, complimentary adjustments and follow-up services./li liHandles tasks, such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly, is thorough and exact in details./li liEnsures finished eyewear meets LensCrafters’ optical standards and customer requirements/requests./li liStrives to achieve “Exceptional Results” on LensCrafters’ annual CEI/Functional Skills that align with brand priorities./li liTakes personal ownership to achieve personal and store results./li liServes as a role model for development and a technical resource for all./li liOperates the Point of Sale terminal inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail./li liAccurately operates the Point of Sale, when required, collecting proper payment following company security procedures and retaining proper change for a variety of transactions./li liExplains to the customers “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times./li liShows customers where to pick-up their glasses upon return to the store./li liTakes pride in the appearance of the store and ensures visual displays are in accordance with Company provided planograms./li liMaintains safe working environment for all associates/customers. Inform management of any potential safety opportunities (broken tiles, furniture, etc.)/li liDemonstrates safe work practices including the wearing of personal protection equipment in the lab./li /ul pstrongBASIC QUALIFICATIONS/strong/p ul liHigh school graduate or equivalent/li liPart of a sanctioned Apprentice Program/li liStrong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder/li liKnowledge of current optical theory and merchandise/li liKnowledge of current store merchandise/li liStrong basic math skills/li liAwareness of current fashion trends/li liSales and service skills/li liFamiliarity with POS, computers and calculators/li liEmbrace new technology and change/li /ul p /p pstrongPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/strong/p ul liActively studying for LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program/li liOptical dispensing experience/li liPrevious customer service and retail experience/li /ulpThis posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
