lispanPerform hands-on patient care at the place of assignment: In-home, Facility, or Adult Family Home./span/li
lispanProvides quality care to patients/clients in an environment which promotes patient/ client rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality./span/li
lispanProvide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being./span/li
lispanUnderstanding and ensuring that individualized care plans are followed. Report any change of condition or observation of patient need to nurse supervisor./span/li
lispanAssist with ADLs: including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with the individuals’ care requirements as directed./span/li
lispanPromote skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin./span/li
lispanTreat each patient client's personal property with respect./span/li
lispanPerforms various delegated tasks assigned by the nurse including vital signs, residents’ weights, and applying creams/ointments./span/li
lispanPhysical able to lift 50 lbs, using proper body mechanics, or lifting devices for accident prevention./span/li
lispanUnderstand and be able to follow safety and infection control procedures including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated, and proper disposal of soiled materials./span/li
lispan Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a client comes first attitude/span/li
lispan Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the resident, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors./span/li

pspanQualifications/Educational Requirements:/span/p

lispanHigh school graduate or G.E.D certificate/span/li
lispanCNA or HCA license to provide home care in Washington State. Can complete Training on-site/span/li
lispan Experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities), or other applicable experience preferred. /span/li
lispanBe listed in good standing with the Washington DSHS Background Check System/span/li
lispanAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job/span/li
lispanHave transportation to and from job./span/li
lispanIf providing transportation clients, you must have a valid driver's license and insurance./span/li
lispanPopulation-specific experience a plus, (training may be provided) for conditions such as: dementia, Parkinson's, hospice/ end of life care./span/li
lispanRN delegation certificate a plus may complete training through journey Nursing Services./span/li
